Anyway, since I haven't updated in a while I thought I'd throw my hand-drawn facsimiles of 21st dynasty Egyptian coffins up here. These are drawn (not traced)from photographs. They've been very instructive for me in learning the religious iconography of the coffins. Almost everything depicted on them has symbolic meaning. The texts in general are pretty disappointing...they mainly name gods and recite well-known offering formulae.
I've tried to guess what the hieroglyph was when it wasn't clear, but sometimes it has been chipped away. In these cases I've just left the area where it was blank. I've also noticed that I've written some glyphs as "n" when they should say "ta", but you don't care about that unless you're a complete geek.
